| My 80's Wedding Dress |
I am over forty and yes I have been married and divorced. I always remember the picking of my wedding dress and to this day I still love wedding dresses. In actual fact I have ten (yes 10) wedding dresses. That is a post for another day!
I went to a wedding dress fitting with my friend who bought a lovely dress from a beautiful wedding shop. It was like walking into a princesses closet, it even smelled lovely.
My friend entered a massive changing room and was fitted with her dress.
Now there were a couple of things that I thought were a bit odd:
The dress was huge - it was obvious that it was at least two sizes too big
My friend then has to pay for it to be refitted
These people are all machinists why did they not measure correctly
My friend was so disappointed in the dress she ended up buying a second dress on-line. Now I know that we all love a good wedding dress but why do they have to be so expensive and why so much fuss....
I got mine and I remember the fuss I went through - I ended up getting mine made by a wee old lady that just loved making wedding dresses because she said she never had one. So now she spends her time making wedding dresses for other women and she says until the day they collect it the dress is hers. It was not expensive (ok it was the 80's) and she measured me correctly so no extra alterations.
Follow up: Exercised both days , hot chocolates one! I am getting there. Yeah me!
Have decided to paint the house and yes this has something to do with the massive book cases - it is like a snow ball effect.
